Do you consider yourself rich? Or are you trying to find ways to become rich?

Have you ever considered improving your financial circumstances, and start accumulating your wealth from this point onwards? If yes, you should read on…

To become rich, you first have to recognize the value of money.

First thing to do is to observe your own relationship with money. A simple way to do so is to look into your wallet now.

Yes, right now.

Take a look at the manner you arrange your cash. Are they neatly arranged in order? Or are they simply stashed into your wallet. Worse still, you may have only stashed them into your pockets.

The rich views money differently from the poor. They value the value of money.

They understand that every dollar bill is a seed. And this seed will one day become a money tree.

The poor simply views money as some paper with prints on it.

So how does one become rich after realizing the value of money?

Here are some simple guidelines:

1. The Rich Knows How To Use Money

A person with $100 uses it to buy 50 pairs of shoes, resells the shoes at a local market for $3 a pair, and gets back $150. Another person gets $100 for his salary and uses this $100 for his living expenses, including daily necessities.

It is the same $100 but the former has increased its value with an additional 50%, while the latter’s value remains unchanged as it is exchanged for goods and services. This additional 50% can be used as capital for future investments or growth.

The problem with the poor is usually the lack of knowledge on how to use money. Most people, when given money will be thinking of ways to spend them away on living expenses or other forms of gratification products or services instead of finding ways to grow the money. This lack of knowledge and experience on how one should use money to grow money, will usually let the poor remain poor.

To become rich, you have to learn how the rich use their money. Do they spend everything they make? What else do they do with their money? What kind of attitudes do they have towards money  and what habits do they have?

Knowledge is power. Without awareness, many people will be living their lives without knowing why no matter how high their income is, they can’t seem to have enough money. Awareness is the first step to riches.

2. Your Brain Is Your Asset To Riches

We are all made equal. Assuming you are not born with a defected body, we all possess the same hardware and hence, our lives should be the same right? Not so. That’s because why we all have the same hardware (our physical body), our software (brain) is different.

The rich understands that to become rich, their software (brain) is the only thing that differentiates them from others. Hence they start to invest in their minds at a very young stage. As mentioned in Point 1, awareness is the first step to riches. The second is investing in your own mind to learn.

Success leaves trails. If someone with the same hardware can become successful and rich, others can learn and follow suit. The only thing that stands in your way of becoming rich is your own mind, and your learning attitude.

3. Develop Yourself For Success

The third thing to do is to develop yourself for success, not just for money. When you chase after money, you will realize that you may eventually get what you want in monetary terms, but you may not get the life you wish you had.

There are many rich people out there who are not happy. They have everything money can buy but some of them are under depression, even suicidal. Why? Because they have lost track of things that are important in life in their pursuit of money. There is even a saying that goes “He is so poor that all he has is money.”

However, if you pursue your passion and your own success, money will come to you. Money will work for you, and your life will be fulfilled, and rich.

4. Be Healthy

This may sound strange to you but a healthy body and healthy mind will give you riches beyond your imaginations. One of the reasons why some of the rich are not happy is because of poor health. Being rich can enable them to hire the best doctors and the best surgeons but how much can that help as compared to you having the best health? When you are healthy, you will be happy.

There is a saying “Health is Wealth.” and it is so for a reason. Having great health also means you can enjoy your life and do the things that you really value most — like spending quality time with your family, especially when you are rich.

5. Be A Go Giver

When you are rich and successful, do not forget to give back to society. The rich understands that you can never make all the money in the world to make you happy. They understand that right on top of the Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs is Self-actualization.

This simply means that one has accomplished everything that one can, to become the most that one can be. When this happens, it is only natural that the rich chooses to give back to those in need.

You don’t have to become rich to give though. Start giving and soon, you will receive.
