How To Increase Your Email Subscriber List?

Having an email list is a must if you are going to grow your online income. I’ve heard this phrase for the longest time, often quoted by successful Internet Marketers – “The Money Is In The List.”

It’s 100% true.

There is also a saying that an email is worth a dollar a month. Of course, this is a general statement but it highlights the importance of having an email list.

And they also say that if you are not building a list, you are leaving a lot of money on the table.

But how do we build a list?

To be honest, I’ve taken the longest time and procrastinated to start building my list. First of all, I knew nothing about list building. Sure, I’d like to make money online but it will take too much work for me to learn how to build a list. I have to learn how to create opt-in forms, how to create emails and how to engage subscribers, how to give value to them and so much more. It’s just too troublesome for me.

Little did I know that I, like many others, was leaving so much on the table over the years.

Today, I’d like to share some strategies to help you get more email leads into your business.

#1. Offer a freebie

I used to worry about what freebie to offer online. And that stopped me at step #1. You can offer a freebie like a free report, or a free video. By simply offering something for free (it must be valuable to your readers of course) in exchange for their email, you start building your list.

Oh of course, you need to have an autoresponder. Aweber is an excellent autoresponder for a beginner. They also offer a one month free account when you sign up.

#2. Use a lightbox popup

The use of popup is avoided by many bloggers or marketers. Using popups can boost email subscribers significantly. My site here has a pop up created using aweber.

#3. Solo Ads

When I first heard of Solo Ads many years ago, I had totally no idea what it was and to be frank, it looked scary to me. Luckiy for me, I found Solo Ads Success Formula, and I started to learn how to build my list using Solo Ads. These are not just emails but they are very targeted to what I promote. You can learn all about Solo Ads and how you can start building your list with it here.

#4. Social Media

Your engagement in social media will bring in the extra traffic you need to your blog. Especially with the younger generation, people are spending more time on Facebook then on the TV. Share often on social media and post helpful posts that people find value. The more engaged you are to your friends and followers on social media, the more likely they will check out your website and subscribe to your list.

At the end of the day, people will not subscribe to your list just because you have a popup box or an opt-in form. You need to give them something in exchange for their email address. And remember to give them something that is of value to them, that they can use to improve their knowledge in a certain topic, and continue to engage them once they’re on your list.
